The mission of “Heart & Hands” Doula Service is to be in service to women. Our vision is to provide support to women before, during and after the childbirth. Since the beginning of time women helped other women with childbearing and beyond to maintain the survival of the species. This caring assistance by experienced women became a tradition handed down through the ages that led to confident mothers. Our goal is to support women physically, emotionally, informationally, spiritually and to provide mediation. Being in service to women in these ways brings back the tried and true methods of educating, supporting and encouraging new mothers. Research validates tremendous benefits for the mother, her baby, the family, labor itself and the postpartum period afterwards.
